FORT PIERCE- For the second year in a row, Jon Williams, 42, of Miami led from start to finish in the 2nd Annual XE3 5K which took place at the Treasure Coast Research Park in a time of 18:18. The cross country course weaved through the grassy area of the park where the first research buildings will soon start to spring up. In second place overall was Caleb Potorff, 12, of Fort Pierce in at 18:56 and Steve Harden, 48, also of Fort Pierce finished third in 2O:I2. In the women's race, Robyn Fagarass 42, of Fort Pierce blazed her way over the 3.1 mile course for the Overall Women's Champion Title in 24;17 edging out Stuart's Lauretta Harpeq 15, by 17 seconds with a time of 24:28. Rounding up third place was eleven year old Taylor Potorff of Fort Pierce in a time of 27:39. A total of 35 runners braved the heat and love bugs to complete this course, which was organized by the Treasure Coast Education Research and Development Authority as a part of the (XE3)- Extreme Energy Education Events.
