Race Management

The Gold Coast Runners Club is managing this event. They meet regularly for fun runs and social get togethers. In addition, they produce / manage numerous road races. To learn more about the club or to join, go to http://www.runnersdepot.com/gcr/

Race Day Registration

Will be available. $30 for Everyone.

In-store Registration

Is available between 8/1 - 8/21 at Runner's Depot, 2233 S. University Drive, Davie .

Mail-in Registration

Mail-in registrations with payment must be received no later than August 20th, 2009 and sent to: The Jeffrey Tait Back To School 5K, 19431 Northeast 19th Avenue, Miami, FL 33179. Make checks payable to: Gold Coast Runners.

Race Bibs

Will be issued on race morning to all runners and walkers. Bibs must be picked up at least 30 minutes prior to the start.

Chip Timing

This event will be chip timed. All participants must pick-up their timing chip at least 30 minutes prior to the race start. The timing chip must be worn during the 5K or the participant will not be eligible for any awards or listed in the results. All participants will be charged $30 if they fail to return the timing chip to the volunteers at the finish line.

Commemorative T-shirt

Included in the price for the first 200 pre-registered.

Runner's Amenities

Mile splits, lead and trailing vehicle, finish line clock, results posted on-line, door prizes and goody bags.

Course

Scenic course along the boardwalk of Hollywood Beach which has been certified by Gene Witkowski (FL 09048EBM)

5K Run Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall M/Fs, the top master M/Fs, and to the top 3 M/Fs in the following age group categories: 0-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65+.

5K Walk Awards

Awards in the 5K Walk will be given to the top 3 overall M/F walkers. If you are in the timed walk, you must walk the entire way. Runners can run and walk if they choose.

Post Race Party

Please join us after the event for a terrific post-race party featuring great food and entertainment.

Directions

Take I95 to Sheridan Street, take Sheridan east to AIA, entrance to North Beach Park is right at the end of Sheridan and AIA. Parking is available at the park.
